Common questions about therapy

  • We are a virtual private practice so the only thing we need from you is a reliable phone or internet connection and an opportunity to meet with you where you can have privacy and truly be tuned in to the conversation.

  • Therapy provides you with an opportunity to put a pause on the rest of your life and focus on you. It is a space where you don’t have to have all the answers or have it all figured out.

    It is a conversation where what you have to say and how you feel matters. There is no topic too “taboo” to discuss. Therapy is an opportunity to find and use your voice. Your therapist has your back the rest of the way.

    Your therapist will listen and act as your mirror to help you make connections between your internal experience and the things you are struggling with in your life.

    The ultimate goal of therapy is to help you learn about yourself and to feel empowered to tackle whatever is next — on your own.

  • We view therapy as a relationship that you have with your therapist and just like any other relationship— sometimes things click, and sometimes they don’t. And that’s okay!

    Regardless of what your previous experience was like, telling us about it can help build upon and improve your journey toward healing.

    If you’ve been to therapy before, we would love to know what your experience was like — what worked AND what didn’t. With this knowledge, we will adjust our approach to what you are looking for and what suits you best.

  • When you are a client at The Collective Therapy & Wellness you are not 1 of the 70 other people on our caseloads. Our fees allow us to keep our caseload small so we can consistently devote more of ourselves to our clients and deeply connect with how they are feeling in order to build the close therapeutic relationship that is necessary for healing to occur.

    Our 55-minute rate for individual therapy is $200.
